The first annual World Travel CEO Forum opened in Britain's northern city of Newcastle Gateshead on October 8th 2007. Over 80 experts and travel industry figures attended the meeting to see how the travel industry is shaping our future. Climate change was top of the forum’s agenda and the message that delegates took home was that the tourism industry needs to speak with a unified voice when dealing with mounting pressure from environmentalists.

Ranjan Singh, CEO of isango! will be speaking on The New Media Challenge, his talk will cover

Digital evangelists are preaching the gospel of Web 2.0. The dawn of social media and user participation is already with us. Just look at the rise of MySpace, YouTube, Facebook and the ever-growing number of bloggers.

Should your company be joining the conversation? Many already have, however many more in the sector have yet to make their brand a part of our collective daily discourse.
