As you cruise past colonial mansions and houses on stilts, you will also appreciate the wonder of this 14,000 square kilometer delta. With numerous sailing clubs and weekend homes, the port of Tigre is a popular destination. Deriving its name from tigres or jaguars which were hunted in the region, its famed fruit market is a must-see!

Explore streets full of the color of rustic fabric, delicious jams and honey, brilliant flowers, and the variety of native fruits. Replete with good restaurants and surrounded by picturesque environs, you will leave with a sense of relaxed fulfillment.

Parana River Delta Cruise - Itinerary


This Private (Deluxe) tour offers you greater flexibility - you can spend as much time at any of the places you visit, as per your preference. The tour starts at 0930h (09:30am)

You will be picked up in an air-conditioned vehicle from your hotel in Buenos Aires and taken through the northern residential suburbs of the city. An English-speaking guide will accompany you on this tour.

Arrive at the dock and board a motorboat for a cruise around the islands of the Delta of the Parana River. A huge forested marshland, the Parana River delta is about 20 miles northeast of Buenos Aires. Sail through a vast labyrinth of marsh and trees, and spot a variety of birds along the way. It is also one of the world’s greatest bird-watching destinations. You will be fascinated by the contrast between dense forest, wet marshland and the dark blue ribbon of the Parana River. Also visit the port of Tigre which is famous for its fruit market.

After enjoying the stunning scenery, stop for a delicious traditional lunch at the waterfront Gato Blanco Restaurant.

Return in your air-conditioned vehicle to Buenos Aires and you will be dropped back to your hotel.

A confirmation voucher for your activity will appear on your screen and a copy will be sent to your mailbox.
You can easily change your dates,number of travellers and tour options during and after the booking process.
If your tour status is On Request we will not charge your card until we have been able to confirm your booking with our supplier.  If your tour status is bookable online, your card will be charged when you click confirm and pay.Please note that you don't have to pay anything at the destination.
What happens after you book
Please print the electronic voucher sent to you and give them to the operator on the day of the activity.
The voucher also includes the operator's complete contact details, and local telephone numbers at the destination. They will happily answer any logistical questions you have.
