Overview

Wander down cobblestone paths to visit Plaza de Mayo Square which was established as the heart of the city by the Spaniards in 1580.Tread into the 18th century Cabildo, seat of the Spanish colonial power which now has some of the finest exhibits. Also see Casa Rosada (The Pink House), home to Argentina’s presidents. If folklore is to be believed, this distinctive pink color comes from a mixture of bovine cattle blood and grease!
Acquaint yourself further with the city’s past in the Metropolitan Cathedral which houses the tomb of ‘Argentina’s Liberator’, San Martin. Travel Avenida 9 de Julio, the widest avenue in the world and see pretty craft shops in the colorful La Boca neighborhood. With colonial architecture, grand facades and folklore, this tour will give you a glimpse into the past of Argentina’s ever changing capital.

Itinerary
This tour is available in private. The private option offers you greater flexibility - you can spend as much time at any of the places you visit, as per your preference.
For Private (Deluxe) tour you will be picked up from your hotel in Buenos Aires and taken on a tour of Argentina’s capital city. An experienced English-speaking guide will accompany you on this tour.
Proceed to Plaza de Mayo Square and see the unmistakable pink façade of Casa Rosada (Government House), occupying the whole east side of the plaza. The plaza is filled with historical buildings and you will see people resting on benches or enjoying a stroll. Also visit the Metropolitan Cathedral, an austere baroque cathedral, significant as a religious and architectural landmark. The cathedral houses the tomb of General Jose de San Martin, Argentina’s most revered hero.
Continue to the 18th century Cabildo (town council), a lively crafts market is set up in its patio on Thursdays and Fridays. Further on, proceed to Avenida 9 de Julio, an avenue whose name honors Argentina’s Independence Day. Considered the broadest avenue in the world, it consists of twelve lanes, 6 on each side.
Explore Palermo Park located north of downtown in the district of Palermo. It is an open botanical garden leading to a botanical garden, rose garden, Japanese Garden and a lake.
Conclude your trip with a visit to La Boca, a pretty neighborhood that retains a strong European flavor. Interestingly, the place is famous in the sporting world as the home of Boca Juniors, one of South America’s top football clubs. You will see many colorful houses, tango clubs, Italian taverns and enjoy a short stroll through the artists’ stalls. Make your pick from a range of interesting local souvenirs for your family and friends back home.
With the private 0900h (09:00 am) option, you could opt for a delicious barbeque lunch with soft drinks at a typical Argentine restaurant. In this case, the tour will last for approx. 5 hours.
After a memorable sightseeing tour of Buenos Aires, you will be dropped back to your hotel.
