Ancient City of Chichén Itzá - Itinerary


This tour is available in options-you can choose the coach tour or a tour in a private vehicle.

You will be picked up from your hotel in Cancun, to travel to Chichén Itzá, named after the seafaring merchant warriors who settled here. Your driver/guide will accompany you to the ancient city and explain the fascinating history of these Maya ruins, highlighting their special features. These include:

• El Castillo: This is a 24 metre high nine-tier pyramid dedicated to the feathered serpent god, Kukulkán. Travel to the top of the ‘Castle’ and enjoy the breathtaking view of Chichén Itzá below.

• Enjoy a sumptuous buffet lunch in a traditional restaurant.

• El Caracol: See the observatory with its winding stairs shaped like a snail shell. Wise priests studied astronomy here and made accurate calculations on the movements of the planets. The calculations made by these astronomers of the lunar, solar and Venuntian cycles were amazingly accurate.

• Return to Cancun.

You will be dropped off to your hotel in Cancun at the end of the tour.

What happens after you book
Please print the electronic voucher sent to you and give them to the operator on the day of the activity.
