Itinerary
This tour will take you to a world vastly different from the beaches and the sea. You will be picked-up from your hotel in a coach for your Mangrove Forest Cruise and Eagle Feeding, Langkawi tour.
Starting from the Tanjung Rhu fishing village, the boat journey will take you through limestone caves and hidden canyon where monkeys, king fishers, monitor lizards and mud crabs congregate along the river banks.
You will discover how mangrove wood is processed into charcoal at a small charcoal factory. The workers burn mangrove wood (which leaves charcoal and not ashes when burned) in walk-in, dome-shaped furnaces to produce barbecue coals.
You also get to see spectacular time-sculptured limestone cliffs, birds, bats, fishes and other wildlife.
The excursion also includes a special eagles feeding session, an amazing sight you wouldn't want to miss. Langkawi’s symbolic brown eagles are enticed close to the boat and fed.
This is a wonderful tour into the natural landscape of Langkawi.
After an enthralling excursion you will be taken back to your hotel.
