It has several famous viewing points, some of which are reachable by motorable roads. It is an extremely popular place to visit to get away from the heat, dust and pressures of the plains and city life.

Itinéraire
Day 1:Mumbai-Mahabaleshwar You will be picked up from your hotel in Mumbai and taken to Mahabaleshwar in an air-conditioned vehicle covering a distance of about 290 kilometres. The journey will take approximately 4-5 hours and is through very picturesque hills.
Day 2: Mahabaleshwar at Leisure After breakfast, explore Mahabaleshwar on your own. Walk down any of the beautiful trails, enjoy the clear breeze and hear the birds chirp. You may visit some of the famous viewing points like the Mumbai Point which is famous for spectacular views of the sunset. From here, you can also see Pratapgarh and Makrandgarh forts. The Pratapgarh Fort which lies 24 kilometres away was built by the Maratha chieftain Chhatrapati Shivaji in 1656. According to legend, Shivaji was blessed with a shining sword at the temple of Goddess Bhawani located here. It is also the site of the famous battle between Shivaji and Afzal Khan, ruler of the Bijapur Sultanate. You may see the famous waterfalls, Chinaman's, Dhobi and Lingamala near Mahabaleshwar (all at your own expense).
Day 3: Mahabaleshwar-Mumbai Today you will be taken back to Mumbai in an air-conditioned vehicle and be dropped off at your hotel where the tour ends.
