Pike Fishing in the Shannon Region - Itinerary

Day 1
Arrive at Millbank House located on the banks of the Mulcair River in the Shannon Region. It was built by the Keays family in 1733, and is one of Ireland’s famous fishing houses offering professional services on site. Millbank House provides a relaxed atmosphere and offers all modern comforts to fishing enthusiasts. You are at leisure for the rest of the day. Spend the night in Milbank House. Day 2
Set out pike fishing by boat on the lakes dotting the East Clare region. Situated in the unspoilt, peaceful countryside, it is a popular angling area with fishing enthusiasts. The area is most popular for pike and coarse fishing with abundant stocks of pike, bream, tench, rudd, roach and perch in most waters. The waters are easily accessible, with car parking close by, and purpose-built fishing stands erected on some lakes to enable comfortable fishing. After a daylong session of pike fishing, return to Millbank House for the night. Day 3
Go fishing on Doon Lake, a prime fishery in the East Clare Lakelands. Species in this lake are mainly roach, with a good head of medium sized bream, hybrids, perch, tench, rudd and pike. The lake is divided into two parts, joined in the centre by a smaller pond which holds tench, but can only be fished by boat. Doon lake is a noted Pike Fishery and has produced some fine quality pike over recent years. Return to Millbank House for the night. Day 4
Spend time fishing on the lakes of East Clare and return to Millbank House for the night. Day 5
Explore the waters of East Clare and fish for salmon, brown trout and a variety of other fish. Return to Millbank House for the night. Day 6
Spend time fishing on the lakes of East Clare and return to Millbank House for the night. Day 7
After breakfast, depart from Millbank House and proceed to your onward destination.

The itinerary is flexible and you can pick on which days you would like to take each included fishing trip. Your host at the Millbank hotel will be able to advise you when you will get the best days fishing based on local conditions.
The Hotel and the location used for fishing are not well-covered by public transport routes, you are advised to hire a car for the duration of your stay.

Millbank House is located just outside the Village of Murroe. From Shannon airport go past Limerick city along the Tipperary road (N24): for 12km (Approx) after passing the little village of Boher turn Left onto R505 and continue straight for 4km and you will see sign outside Millbank
