Itinerary
(This tour is available in two options – coach and private. The private option offers you greater flexibility and convenience to do the tour at your own pace.)
You will be picked up in an air-conditioned coach/private vehicle from your hotel in Dubai and taken on a tour of the two contrasting landscapes – the lush valley of Wadi Hatta and the UAE desert. Wadi Hatta is about 120 kilometres from the city of Dubai. An English-speaking guide will accompany you on this tour.
The lush Wadi Hatta, situated at the foothills of the Hajar Mountains, offers spectacular views of the desert. A favourite with the Dubai people during the summer as the climate is milder, enjoy the canvas of the red Hatta dunes, whilst relaxing in the lush environs of the valley. Visit the old Hatta village nestled amidst the Hajar Mountains. You can also take a refreshing dip in one of the Hatta pools before driving to the 16th century Hatta Fort, now a hotel, for lunch. It is Dubai’s only mountain resort.
Further on, continue into the UAE desert and experience the thrill of a life time as you take your 4WD vehicle over the seemingly endless dunes. Like a roller coaster ride, you will go up and down, leaving behind a trail on the satiny sands of the dune. Dip low in the deep trenches and rise high on the pinnacle of the dunes. Drive up to the highest dune and take a break to view the spectacular sunset over the horizon.
Proceed towards the Bedouin campsite located in the heart of the desert. You can get yourself henna tattoos and dress in Arab costumes. Enjoy these activities while sipping on soft drinks, tea or coffee (as per your choice). You also have an option to take a camel ride and try out different flavours of shisha or hubbly bubbly (a traditional tobacco pipe). To make the evening even more enchanting, watch the belly dancers perform on the rhythmic Arabic tunes, while relishing a delicious barbeque buffet dinner.
After a memorable day of desert exploration, you will be dropped back to the starting point of the tour.
