Spirit of New York - Lunch or Dinner Cruise - Itinerary




The itinerary will differ depending on whether you choose the Spirit of New York Lunch Cruise or the Spirit of New York Dinner Cruise.

Spirit of New York Lunch Cruise:
The tour starts from Chelsea Piers and you can board your Spirit of New York Lunch Cruise 30 minutes before your sailing time.

A keepsake photo of you and your party will be taken upon boarding, so go ahead and smile for the camera! (You can decide to purchase or not, when you dock.) Welcoming staff will greet and seat you, and take your drink orders (payable direct). Please note that many tables are designed for cabaret-style seating with other guests, reminiscent of ocean-going cruises. Feel free to get up and explore the ship – especially the outdoor strolling decks.

As the Spirit of New York pulls away from the dock, grab your streamers and drinks and join in a festive ‘Bon Voyage’ toast.

Once you’ve been invited up to the Grande Buffet, help yourself to whatever you like. You can even go back for seconds and thirds as long as the buffet is open!

The menu may vary from time to time but below is an example of the delicious fare you can expect to enjoy:

FRESH SALADS:
• Garden-Fresh Salad Station: Mixed Greens, ripe Tomatoes and crisp Cucumbers, dried Cranberries, Garbanzo Beans, Sunflower Seeds, shredded Cheese, Croutons, Bacon, served with Balsamic Vinaigrette and Ranch dressings
• Dijon Potato Salad Potatoes, Celery, and sweet Pimentos in a Dijon Mayonnaise
• Pasta Salad Italiano Pasta tossed with Green and Red Peppers, Celery, Sweet Onion and Italian Dressing
• Chef’s Daily Selection Fresh and creative salad from our chef

ENTREES:
• Salmon Mediterranean Fresh Wild Alaskan Salmon* fillet sautéed and drizzled with Citrus, White Wine and Dill, served with a savory Chutney
• Herb-Marinated Rotisserie Chicken Lightly seasoned Chicken, baked with Paprika and Garlic Butter
• Apricot-Glazed Pork Tenderloin Jerk-seasoned Pork Tenderloin, simmered in an Apricot Glaze
• Three-Cheese Pasta Al Forno Pasta baked with a trio of mild and sharp Cheeses, topped with Toasted Bread Crumbs

ACCOMPANIMENTS:
• Garlic Smashed Potatoes Red Potatoes mashed with roasted Garlic and light Cream
• Local Harvest Vegetable Medley Seasonal medley of locally sourced steamed Vegetables

DESSERTS (Sweet Dessert Duo):
• Chocolate Mousse Truffle Silky Chocolate Mousse, covered in a decadent Chocolate Ganache, topped with a drizzle of White Chocolate
• Lemoncello Cheesecake New York-style Cheesecake, layers of Lemon Cake and tart Citrus Ganache

While you enjoy the meal, you will be entertained with a fascinating narrated tour of Manhattan’s breathtaking skyline, which can be clearly seen through the huge panoramic windows. Maybe you’ve seen the Statue of Liberty a thousand times. Maybe you’ve only seen it in a picture. No matter how you’ve seen her before, you’ve never seen her like this!

When lunch is over, why not stretch your legs? Head topside for the largest outdoor patio deck in New York and catch a breath of fresh air and an amazing view. Or hit the dance floor – from line dances to Top-40 hits, Spirit’s DJs know how to get everyone up and dancing, right to the end of your cruise.

Your 2-hour cruise ends at around 2:00pm at Chelsea Pier.

Spirit of New York Dinner Cruise:
The tour starts from Chelsea Piers and you can board your Spirit of New York Dinner Cruise 30 minutes before your sailing time.

You’ll know you’re in for a special evening the moment you step aboard Spirit’s vibrant decks and are escorted to your candlelit table. Order drinks (payable direct), then feel free to explore the ship while the crew casts off for 3 fabulous hours on New York Harbor.

Your waiter will invite you to the Grande Dinner Buffet, where you can sample a little bit of everything, or just select your favorite fare. Everything is freshly prepared in the shipboard galley and served in the true manner of an ocean-going cruise buffet. Menus change but the following example will give you an idea of what is likely to be on offer:

After the show, take your drinks topside and relax on the largest outdoor patio deck in the city while Manhattan’s magnificent skyline spreads before you in all directions. It’s the perfect pause before the pulsing beat of Spirit’s dance tunes entices you onto the dance floor.

Spirit’s dinner cruises spotlight some of the hottest DJs in the city. For nearly two hours, they will spin your favorite tunes and let you rock ‘til you dock - literally. The perfect end to the perfect night.

At the end of your 3-hour cruise, you will be dropped back at Chelsea Pier.

Directions to Chelsea Piers:
From Westchester:
Take Saw Mill Parkway south to West Side Highway.
Continue south to 23rd Street.
Bear right at the Chelsea Piers signs and proceed to Pier 61, Chelsea Piers.

From Long Island:
Take Long Island Expressway to Midtown Tunnel.
Out of tunnel, go left for two blocks to 34th Street.
Go right on 34th to 11th Avenue.
Turn left on 11th Avenue and continue to 24th Street.
Turn right and proceed for one block.
Turn left onto the West Side Highway and continue for one block.
Bear right at the Chelsea Piers sign and proceed toward Pier 61, Chelsea Piers.

From the Holland Tunnel:
Take Holland Tunnel to West Side Highway North.
From the West Side Highway bear right onto 11th Ave and continue for two blocks.
Turn left onto 24th street and continue for one block.
Turn left onto the West Side Highway and proceed for one block.
Bear right at the Chelsea Piers sign and proceed toward Pier 61.

From the Lincoln Tunnel:
When exiting the tunnel, follow signs to West Side Highway South.
Continue south to 23rd Street.
Bear right at the Chelsea Piers sign and proceed to Pier 61, Chelsea Piers.

Via Bus:
Take north/south route to 23rd Street.
Take the #23 bus west to Chelsea Piers (last stop) and walk to Pier 61.

Via Subway:
Take C, E, 1, or 9 to 23rd Street.
Take the #23 bus west to Chelsea Piers (last stop) and walk to Pier 61
Please Note
Please contact the activity operator within 5 days of booking or at least 72 hours prior to your arrival into New York to confirm your cruise reservation. You will not be guaranteed a place on the cruise until you have contacted the activity operator to confirm.

You must print and present your voucher in order to redeem services purchased. Please present your voucher and photo ID at the activity operator ticket kiosk located dockside. You will be issued boarding passes at this time. Boarding begins 30 minutes prior to cruise departure time.
Cruises will go ahead year-round, rain or shine. In the rare event the Coast Guard prohibits cruising because of weather, your activity operator will contact you to make other arrangements.
Do's & Don'ts
Smart casual dress is requested for lunch cruises. Please no jeans, sneakers, sandals or collarless shirts.
Jackets for men and cocktail dresses for women are recommended for dinner cruises, although not compulsory

A confirmation voucher for your activity will appear on your screen and a copy will be sent to your mailbox.

If your tour status is On Request we will not charge your card until we have been able to confirm your booking with our supplier.  If your tour status is bookable online, your card will be charged when you click confirm and pay.Please note that you don't have to pay anything at the destination.
What happens after you book
