The Central Thailand region contains some of the country’s most impressive Buddhist and Hindu ruins. This tour takes you to explore Kanchanburi, an important trade centre from the 14th to the 18th centuries. Gain an insight into the rich history of the region and learn about the infamous Death Railway of World War II.

The region is home to Thailand’s impressive natural scenery and attractions. Admire the scintillating waterfalls and lush green forests and fall in love with a country that is Thailand.

2 Day River Kwai, Tiger Temple and Elephant Camp Tour – from Bangkok - Itinerary

Day 1:Bangkok – Kanchanaburi – River Kwai




You will be picked up from your downtown hotel in Bangkok and taken for a tour of Kanchanabur in an air-conditioned vehicle accompanied by an English speaking guide.

• Visit the WW II Museum and Kanchanaburi War Cemetery.

• Next, board the original, infamous ‘Death Railway Train’. The train takes you across the ‘Bridge on the River Kwai’ to Nam-Tok Station, the last terminal station on the Thai-Burma railway line.

• Drive to the River Kwai Village Hotel. This three star hotel has air conditioned rooms with several restaurants and bars. It also has a swimming pool. From your room, you will be able to see the scenic River Wing. Enjoy a delicious Thai lunch in the hotel.

• Take a short boat trip to the Tiger Temple.

• Return to your hotel for the night and enjoy a European dinner.

Day 2:River Kwai – Bangkok




After breakfast, drive to the Hellfire Pass Memorial. The Memorial commemorates the Australian soldiers who died building the Death Railway. Also, see the pass that was created by the soldiers for the railway track.

• Travel to the elephant camp by bamboo rafting along the Kwai Noi River.

• Enjoy a ride on elephant back through the jungle.

• After the ride, enjoy a lovely picnic lunch.

• Return to the River Kwai Village Hotel, check out and then driven back to Bangkok.

At the end of the tour, you will be dropped off to your hotel.
