A game spotting safari in the Ranthambore National Park, one of the most popular wildlife reserves in India is not to be missed on a trip to India. Nestled between the Vindhya and Aravali Hills, it encompasses the 10th century Ranthambore fort, temples and mosques.

The Park is home to a variety of animals like tigers, the sambhar deer (the largest Asiatic deer), chital, nilgai, gaur and leopards. Different species of birds like eagles and the uncommon red jungle fowl are also found in the park.

Interestingly, Ranthambore was the hunting ground for the Maharajas of Jaipur till 1970, and is now one of the greatest successes of Project Tiger, a drive to protect the tiger population. Day 1
Travel by the Jan Shatabdi Express or the Golden Temple Express in an Air Conditioned Chair Car from Delhi to Ranthambore (Train times : 1310h / 1800h. Train times on Sundays : 0705h /1305h). You will be picked up from the railway station. You stay will at:

Spend the night at the resort Day 2 & 3
Visit the Ranthambore National Park in the morning and afternoon for game spotting drives. One of the most popular wildlife reserves in India, it is nestled between the Vindhya and Aravali Hills. The Ranthambore National Park encompasses the 10th century Ranthambore fort, temples and mosques. Go on a game spotting drive and you could see the majestic tiger and other animals like the sambhar deer (the largest Asiatic deer), chital, nilgai, gaur and leopards. Leave Ranthambore by the Jan Shatabdi Express or the Golden Temple Express in an Air Conditioned Chair Car and travel back to Delhi (Train times : 0710h / 1225h. Train times on Sundays : 1240h /1823h).
