Itinerary
The Pick up & return your bike from/to Street Esparteria nº3. The closest Metro Stations are Barceloneta or Jaume, both on the yellow line. Closest major landmark is Santa Maria del Mar on Passeig del Born which is 4 streets away. The bikes are comfortable and you will be travelling on cycling paths, through the pedestrian zones and parks of Barcelona, accompanied by a guide.
There will be breaks along the way so that the guide can point out places of interest, narrate their history and tell you more about the area you are cycling through.
On this tour, you will see:
Bari Gottic (Gothic Quarter): This gigantic Barcelona Cathedral and its cloister is a focal point of interest in the Gothic quarter. You will see many fine examples of Gothic architecture and Roman walls around the Cathedral.
The Vila Olimpica and the Port Olimpic (Olympic harbour): This entertainment and leisure zone, built for the 1992 Olympic Games has become a popular area. Most people come here to enjoy the nightlife on offer in the bars, restaurants and dance clubs.
The Parc de la Ciutadella: The Barcelona Zoo is here. It is one of the most popular zoos in Europe.
We will then go on to admire the "Sagrada Familia" (Holy Family) Cathedral - Antoni Gaudi’s unfinished masterpiece.
The Old Harbour The statue of Columbus, one hand raised and finger pointing towards ‘the new world’ is here.
