Autumn in Cape Cod - Itinerary


You will be picked up from your hotel in Boston and taken in an air-conditioned coach for a sightseeing tour to Cape Cod.

Ride through Quincy, past the Adams Mansion and the birthplaces of two American presidents.

After crossing the Cape Cod Canal, you will enter the gateway town, Sandwich, which is also the Cape's oldest. Visit either the Dexter Grist Mill and the historic Hoxie House. Each site includes a half-hour tour (choice of one admission included).

  • Dexter Grist Mill: This is a working 17th century grist mill, featuring a 54-inch French Burl millstone. Built in 1654 on Shawme Pond in town center, the Mill offers tours and sells fresh ground corn on premises.

  • Hoxie House: The oldest house on Cape Cod was built in 1675 for Reverend John Smith, his wife Susanna and their 13 children. Purchased by the town in 1950, the house was restored and period furniture added.

    Enjoy lunch on your own before arriving in Hyannisport, where you will visit a memorial to President John F. Kennedy.

    End your day by joining a lectured sightseeing cruise, which offers the best possible view of the Kennedy Compound.

    At the end of the tour you will be dropped back at your hotel in Boston.
